TWO G.O.P. JUDGE CANDIDATES FILL COBBLEHEADS FOR MEET AND GREET

"I'd forgotten how fun these pachangas can be!"

Cascos' Event at Southwinds Lounge 10/18/18

Jaime Tijerina, Candidate for Place 4 Judge of the 13th Court of Appeals

Sometime after consuming some of the best tacos and flautas ever served at Cobbleheads, Jaime Tijerina stepped up in the middle of the restaurant to make his case for being elected to the 13th Court of Appeals.

Earlier, chatting with Tijerina,  I mentioned that he couldn't have picked a better opponent, the indicted, thoroughly corrupt Rodolfo "Rudy" Delgado.

Tijerina laughed"  "Well, of course, as a judge, I believe in 'innocent until proven guilty,' but an associate of his has already plead guilty in the case."

Ernie Aliseda, Candidate for Chief Justice of 13th Court of Appeals

Tijerina was followed by Ernie Aliseda, running for Chief Justice of the same court, the 13th Court of Appeals.

Aliseda, reiterated his resume', then fielded a question from the audience asking for an explanation of the difference between being an Associate Judge and Chief Justice.

Five year old tablemate Elizabeth Graham and I tried unsuccessfully to stay connected to the Miraculous Ladybug internet game as Cobblehead's WiFi seemed to fade in and out.

As I was about to depart, I was collared by blogger Jerry McHale at the bar.  After some interchanges with some opinionated millennials, we moved to the deck area for some spirited interaction with Hector Cascos, Phillip Cowen and others.
