Norma Lee Valle |
With old retreads like "Eddie" Campirano and John Reed wanting to get back in the Port of Brownsville game, Norma Lee Valle offers a fresh, viable alternative.
Unlike Campirano, a city bureaucrat who was "assigned" port duty with zero experience, Valle's family managed a site at the Port of Brownsville for over 50 years!
Valle, fighting misogyny and good-ol'-boyism, took control of her family's site after her husband's passing in 2020, learning firsthand about the unlevel playing field perpetuated by the old P of B cronies.
With close connections to maquiladoras across the river, Valle knows she can grow the port's business with an emphasis on safety for all workers, while promising the taxpayers no more $1800 meals in Shanghai to "discuss port business."
I've heard good things about this lady.

ReplyDeleteThis lady needs to follow the steps of the great Lydia Salazar: go to stripes, buy a taco and coffee every day until election day and greet the people there. Also, stand close to PUB and greet the drivers...you will win the election. Who gets up early every day? Who buys coffee at Stripes? Who stands close to the street near PUB early in the morning to greet the drivers? Who? The one that wins th election. Do it Norma Lee Valle.
