HELEN DELGADILLO FOR 138TH DISTRICT JUDGE EVENT OVERWHELMS LOTUS CAFE

From the editor:  As we've been saying, these district judge meet and greets are taxing local venues.  Yesterday's Helen Delgadillo event at the Lotus Cafe on Boca Chica Blvd. was yet another recent judicial campaign event with a huge turnout.

    Why tariffs? Because Trump's favorite business "tool," overwhelming civil suits (along with the threat of protracted legal battles) won't work in this situation. He's more about "deal forcing" than "deal making." Apparently tariffs are now his hammer and international problems are all nails.

    Problem is, other nations also have some national pride, and don't fold as easily as small municipalities and contractors Trump screwed out of money did.

    But, keep in mind ... "trade wars are good and easy to win."
