Blanca Elina Perez |
Friday morning Jerry Danache and I visited with BISD Board of Trustees candidate Blanca Elina Perez at the Toddle Inn, the epicenter for Brownsville politics.
Ms Perez, the mother of two adult daughters, has considerable experience in city affairs, having served on the Brownsville Community Improvement Corporation and the Transit Advisory Committee as well as attending to the needs of foster children with Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA).
Perez is also the the sole proprietor of Amor Eterno, a provider services company located in the former Rio Grande Valley Gas building on West Elizabeth Street.

Amor Eterno Provider Services |
As a mother whose daughters attended both private school and BISD before college, Perez is keenly aware of education's importance in our community. She feels her life experience has given her the skill of creating consensus, the ability to work together on the Board of Trustees in harmony with the BISD staff.
