From the editor: The Brownsville City Commission honored the Super Cream Group, originating in Brownsville's sister city, Tampico, Tamaulipas, at its bimonthly meeting October 15.  The Brownsville location is at 1014 Ruben M. Torres Boulevard.

Super Cream Group is a 100% Tampico company, founded in 1945 on Carranza Street in downtown Tampico, the brainchild of an enthusiastic woman, mother of 11 children, who started making cakes and fine pastries in what was then her home. 

Thanks to the fact that all products are prepared with 100% natural raw materials and for their quality and delicious flavor, the business obtains the recognition of its customers, which leads to the introduction of snacks and sandwiches and, over time, to restaurant and cafeteria service. 

Her children have been responsible for expanding the Super Cream concept over the years, reaching 14 points of sale distributed in the north and south of Tamaulipas, as well as in the United States of America in Brownsville, Tx., in addition to adding to the Super Cream family the successful concepts 360 Grill & Bar, Salón Principal 360, Fast Food Deli, Super Cream USA and Toscafino.
