From the editor: This subscription campaign was conducted in 1921 when a six-month subscription to the Brownsville Herald cost $3.75 and the boys and girls were not asked to collect the money.

The bicycles were made by Columbia Manufacturing Inc.

    According to google average price of a bike was 26 bucks in the 20s
