𝗪𝗛𝗔𝗧 𝗜𝗦 𝗠𝗖𝗖𝗔𝗥𝗧𝗛𝗬𝗜𝗦𝗠? 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗗𝗜𝗗 𝗜𝗧 𝗛𝗔𝗣𝗣𝗘𝗡?

From the editor:  A Brownsville resident shared a meme citing the words of the late Senator Joseph McCarthy, a man who terrorized our country in the 50's, villifying people as "Communists,"disloyal to our country; primarily Hollywood actors, labor union leaders and liberal politicians.

Roy Cohn, Donald Trump's primary mentor, was McCarthy's right hand man and attorney.

Anyway, as a young kid, I watched the hearings on TV and read about them in the Seattle Times.  

The original Hollywood Ten, that is actors, directors and producers deemed to be Communists, eventually grew to hundreds, all deprived of jobs, income, while facing fines and imprisonment.
