 From the editor: Rene Torres touched on some of my personal memories today, sending me a couple photos of "El Charro Drive-In" on Boca Chica Blvd, where in 1966 I rewatched a Sidney Poitier film I'd already seen before leaving Seattle.  I did the same at the Majestic Theatre, seeing "To Sir With Love," not Poitier's greatest, but a likeable, watchable film.

I noticed "Mr. Q's" in the sketch, where my friend Ray worked.  The notoriously greasy "Oasis Drive In" was across the street.
