What happened?

How did such an obviously corrupt Texas Attorney General, after being impeached by House Republicans, get acquitted on all 16 counts by Senate Republicans?

Well, be assured, this was not an evidence-based decision proving the "innocence" of an asshole involved in nothing but dirty, unethical shit since the day he took office.

No, Ken Paxton has not been transformed into Mr. Clean.  His body still wreaks of excrement the stench of which clogs the nostrils from miles away!

Paxton's case simply got a powerful push into acquittal from the camp of the equally smelly orange goon now leading all hopefuls for the Republican nomination for President by tens of points.

Simply put; Paxton is a certified Trumper and the Trump camp wants the very same to be set in place ruling Texas.

Texas Senate Republicans were told by Team Trump  to acquit or face primary opponents and the good ol' boys of the Texas Senate proved themselves worthless as spit.

The irony here is that those cowardly vessels of ineptitude in the Texas Senate will get primary opponents anyway, courtesy of Trumpism, the new religion of the mindless fringe of the G.O.P.

Anyone Trump pressured has already been branded as not a true Trumper, thus the pressure.  So, boys, expect that promised primary opponent.  LOL!

Anyway, that's the current state of Republicanism in sordid Texas!
