It's a tit-for-tat game in modern politics as Republicans have been trying to initiate impeachment procedings against President Joe Biden since the day he took office, an activity recently described by a conservative Republican as "abject failure."

The problem is that folks like Kentucky Republican James Comer, the chairperson of the House of Representatives Oversight Committee, while repeatedly hinting at bribery and corruption, have found zero evidence to prove those claims.

You can't impeach for stuttering.

Comer, along with Iowa's Republican Senator Chuck Grassley, at one point, claimed they had "whistleblowers" and submitted an open letter to the F.B.I purporting to link Biden to a "criminal scheme involving the exchange of money for policy decisions," but that turned out to be nothing more than an uncorroborated tip linked to a bogus statement by Rudy Giuliani.

Still, brainiacs like Georgia Representative Marjorie Taylor Greene threaten to shut down the government unless impeachment proceedings are initiated against Biden.

Representative Ken Buck, a Republican from Colorado and member of the far-right Freedom Caucus, finds Greene's ploy "absurd."

“The time for impeachment is the time when there’s evidence linking President Biden — if there’s evidence linking President Biden to a high crime or misdemeanor. That doesn’t exist right now,” he said.

“And it is really something that we can say, well, in February, we’re going to do this. It’s based on the facts. You go where the facts take you.”

The problem is that many Republicans are being duped, tricked and totally fooled by NewsmaxQAnon and Rupert Murdoch's Fox News, phony "news" entities constantly promoting false conspiracy theories.

Those oft-repeated unproven theories have resulted in 42% of the electorate actually believing Biden is guilty of corruption and remarkably Biden and the frequently-indicted and unqualified Donald Trump, are neck-and-neck in nationwide opinion polls.

Biden, actually a competent President, has done a poor job selling himself and his administration's accomplishments to the American people.

Add that to the American public being fed absolute bull shit by much of the conservative media and we have a nation-wide recipe for election disaster.

  1. MTG .... how do you vote someone like that into office? we know she's not all right in the head, but if she's a representative of the people that voted for her, I'd call them looney too!!!

  2. The fact you have the nerve to state that Biden is competent is surprising. And what, if any, accomplishments are you talking about? Because from down here on ground level, shits more fucked up now that when trump was in office. Don't worry, I'll wait.

    1. It doesn't take much nerve to describe Biden as a competent, but not great President, especially compared to Trump. Biden took control of the pandemic as a mature, stable leader not like the dumbass who at first ignored the epidemic, then foolishly suggested people injest bleach. Biden steered our country back away from Trump's overt racism, calling Mexicans "rapists," embracing White Supremacists as "good people." Biden restored our relationship with NATO countries, 70 year allies Trump disrespected. While Trump referred to people serving in our military as "suckers," Biden has a more reasoned, mature approach. And, then infrastructure. Finally, SOMETHING is getting done. All in all, Biden gives us some maturity, stability and competence, not the reckless narcissism of the former guy.
