State prosecutors from Coahuila, Mexico said that another body has been found three miles up the Rio Grande River from the buoys at Eagle Pass, Texas.
The mother of the 20 year old victim from Honduras, living in a migrant shelter in Piedras Negras, says the body belongs to her son, but verifying tests are ongoing.
Another body found between the buoys and the city of Eagle Pass on Wednesday has still not been identified.
Mexico has made it clear that they consider the orange buoys ordered placed in the river by Texas Governor Greg Abbott to be a human rights violation as well as a violation of international treaties.
Abbott has ordered razor wire as an additional barrier.
