No, I'm not joining The Eagles rock band.

Vince Gill presumptuously cut in front of me for that gig.

Ana says, though, that I'm a virtual lock for admission into the Fraternal Order of Eagles, Philippines by virtue of our impending marriage.

Ana, she tells me, was one of the founding members of the group in her barangay after her move from Manila almost a decade ago.  

This all came up in conversation yesterday when she expressed frustration with losing a pin that commemorated her 10 year membership.

"I have no idea where I put that thing," she exclaimed.

While we were talking on Facebook Messenger, I opened a side window to Ebay and quickly found her another pin, ordering it.

"You know I will always treasure any gift from you," Ana responded, when I told her about my seven dollar purchase.

"Well, that's just how we Eagles roll," I replied.

"What do you mean by that?"

"Nothing.  Like I keep telling you, I'm crazy."

And, "in love," I muttered to myself.
