COWEN, GUERRERO, HINOJOSA SET FOR PODCAST SUNDAY . WILL PUENTE-BRADSHAW JOIN?

Three guests are committed to the Whine and Cheez podcast this Sunday.  Appearing at Angelita's Casa de Cafe at 1:30 PM will be John Cowen, Carlos Guerrero and Ismael Hinojosa, all candidates for City Commission At Large "A."

We've also reached out to Jessica Puente-Bradshaw, rumored to be currently seeking enough signatures to qualify by the February 15 sign-up date.

Jessica was at last night's Caty Presas-Garcia event, but, when we tried to locate her after the pachanga, she was gone.

Robert Uresti did say "hi" as he passed by in a blurr, likely seeking more signatures for Puente-Bradshaw.

BTW, we just heard that Pat Ahumada is back in the City Commissioner, District 2, race.  That confirms that his hesitancy was never about running from a mean blogger, but simply about finances.  We wonder who came through for Patricio.

If you're curious about SpaceX owner Elon Musk's actual commitment to Brownsville, consider the City of Brownsville reached out to Musk to get his cooperation or potential sponsorship of the Brownsville Library's planned new observatory.  The thinking was that perhaps the SpaceX name or logo attached to the observatory might be good for both the city and the company.  City moguls were surprised to not get even a response from the SpaceX, not a phone call, email or even a text.

My friend of over 50 years, Tom Robinson, is retiring from the Southmost Library in April.  The Brownsville Observer will be there to cover that event.
