Resigned County Republican Chair Morris, Other Officials Cleared of Charges at Fort Worth Republican Convention~State Republicans Add Use of Medical Marijuana to Platform

Morgan Graham, A.K.A. Dorothy M. Young, daughter of longtime newsman Bill Young, has reported that currently resigned Cameron County Chair Frank Morris and other local party officials have been cleared of violation of party rules during a hearing at the Texas State Republican Convention in Fort Worth.

Local party members had charged the 80 year old Morris with violation Republican Party rule 14C by excluding qualified citizens from open meetings and of holding secret party meetings February 6, March 13 and March 18 in violation of party rules.

Mrs. Graham, serving on the Platform Committee at the Fort Worth convention, also reported June 4 on Facebook that the State Republican Party had moved to include the use of medical marijuana on their state platform.
