The
Association of Brownsville Educators released their recommendations for the upcoming BISD trustee November election. The selections were made by member vote after a candidate forum on September 26. This is how the list appeared on the Brownsville Cheezmeh site:
|
Donald Clupper |
Missing from the list of recommended candidates is the much maligned Cata Presas-Garcia, along with Sharon Bowman, Argelia Miller and the two Cheezmeh candidates; Donald Clupper and Linda Gill. The bypassing of the two Brownsville Cheezmeh candidates seemed especially distressing to frequent drama queen Erasmo Castro Dragustinovis who made this announcement on his site after the
AOBE recommendations became public(For those not well acquainted with the Cheez, he frequently threatens to shut down his site when things don't go his way, hoping that his "legion" of followers will plead with him en masse to resume his role as Head Cheez):
Shortly after this announcement was removed, BISD candidate Donald Clupper used the Cheez site to make the claim that the endorsement may not have accurately reflected the votes by
AOBE members:
What Clupper may not realize is that his association with Brownsville Cheezmeh may be the huge anchor pulling him down to the sea bottom. Of the four Cheez candidates running so far, only Erin H. Garcia has registered a win, albeit one aided by obvious voter fraud.
|
Linda Gill |
With Linda Gill, the other Cheez BISD candidate, her albatross was likely her performance at the
AOBE candidate forum. One observer made this observation: "Linda Gill responded to questions by checking her notes. At one point she said: 'I've written my answer over the question.' This indicated she may have received the questions in advance, which is against the rules. But still she seemed incoherent, mumbling many of her comments inaudibly."
Actually, Ms. Gill had promised to do an interview with
Mean Mister Brownsville Friday September 28 at 3:00, but early that morning we received this message:
Linda Gill: "
Jim.. once again I have woken up sith sever rhuematoid arthritis symptoms. Ihaven't checked the weather buy can garauntee its somewhere very close. I'm having lots of trouble moving around. Wish I I could say I will be better by this afternoon but
I chose to get off my meds a few months back."
Linda Gill: "Lots of motrin and tylenol just to keep the pain at bay."
Jim Barton: "so u wanna postpone?
first of all . . sorry to hear you're not feeling well"
Linda Gill: "Thanks ,,I never know when thrse flares will occur but bad weather exaccerbates the pain and lethargy
That was one of the reasons I retired
I have trouble walking and getting around
I would appreciate postponing,,not cancelling"
Ms. Gill has not responded to our requests to meet since that time so we will take that as a decline. Most likely, Erasmo instructed her not to meet with us.
Who in their right mind would give the Fat Bastard any kind of worth to a "Cheez" endorsement....are the candidates and teachers rep actually serious ? This is astonishing to even make an attempt to associate yourself with those fools called Cheez followers. Do so at your political demise.
ReplyDeleteNo argument there. He claims he is in the hospital but isn't off FB. I'm dying but if I dont' hear you tell me how much you Love me and miss me and beg me to keep Brownsville Cheezmeh alive I will be devastated. ReplyDeleteJim, grammatically, that should be "its," not "their." The association is a singular group.

Attaboy, Rey! Stay on'em, son. LOL!!!
DeleteJake.
It is a waste of time to poinder and question and try to explain the rantings of someone like this Drago guy. He is not one of us. He is an unattractive Mexican who likely has been ostracized his entire life. The ugly are different. All they have, then, is this insipid idea that to soil the life of others is free and easy. The pancake loves to be drowned in syrup and the prostitute can find nothing better than a rain of ejaculations, be it from even the most pedestrian fellow. Erasmo is dependent on the Internet in the same way that radio guys became radio guys because they were too ugly for TV. He is, in my opinion, a cagapalo. In the words of Juan Cortina, of course.
ReplyDeleteW
I beg to differ with you about Drago being a cagapalo, he is way to narcissistic to be anything close to the metaphorical cagapalo.
DeleteThe cagapalo is self loathing and in fact revels in self loathing, Drago sees himself as perfect, not a piece of bird shit on a cage swing.
AOBE proves by this slate that they don't care about education....only educators. AOBE also proves they don't care about tax payers, parents and the community.....its all about them. To bad that Brownsville educators seek self promotion over academic achievement. We know that AOBE members feel that senority is more important than quality instruction....what more can we say of teachers who probable can't get SAT scores to get into college these days.
ReplyDeleteSeveral misspelled words, multiple punctuation errors and assumptions that are at best anecdotal.
DeleteIt is not anecdotal to assume you did not do well in your English classes.
AOBE and ATPE are merely associations that most of us as educators use to defend us from vengeful administrators who are looking for scapegoats that cover up their inept management of our schools. In Brownsville, the first thing veteran teachers tell you as a newbie is to sign up with a teachers' association. In my opinion, school board elections the last 20 years have been more of a choice of the lesser evil than the greater good. To judge all Brownsville educators that are members of AOBE as being greedy and self promoting is irresponsible and asinine. "Nadie sabe lo que trae en el moral mas que el que lo carga." Most of us are in education for the outcome...not the income. It is obvious that you are not an educator. Next time you try to lump all of us in the same category, make sure you're speaking from truth, not from your ass.
DeleteThen you, the teachers, have been monumentally misled by these "teacher" associations. This is a political organization that preys on the large number of teachers because they translate to potential voters. Not giving one shit for improving education or conditions in the schools, or attracting viable candidates to help you teachers in the long run. AOBE is leading you down a path of failure and corruption if you were to vote for candidates like Powers, Barbosa. But AOBE trusts you are too busy and ignorant to notice the crap candidates whose lies are being spoonfed to you.
DeleteDo you honestly think that teachers are incapable of making their own decisions? I guess the comment about joining these associations for the sole purpose of having cheap legal representation went over your head? While there are some teachers that do take the "union" seriously, they fail to remember that true unions cannot exist in Texas, which is a right to work state. Most of us know better, so your assumption that we are a bunch of lemmings following each other off a cliff is incorrect. I vote for whoever I think the better candidate is! Unfortunately like I mentioned before, it's more like voting for the lesser of two evils. Some of the candidates for this board election and most of the ones on the board itself could not lead an army of ants to a picnic! (unless there is money there, of course)It is so embarrassing to read news about how the Mcallen school board was voted outstanding school board in the state. They use their taxpayers' money to improve the education of their students. They're buying I-Pads for their students while the board at BISD is using the taxpayers' money to pay for ridiculous lawsuits and former superintendant's salaries. As much as these pseudointellectual dipshits want to feed us bull shit about their qualifications...I'm not drinking the kool-aid. You political burros can have it all if you want it.
DeleteA majority of the AOBE members are tax payers, parents, and members of the community. They are not seeking self promotion yes it might be all about them because the educatior is the basis or a good education. That should be proably not probable in your post.
ReplyDeleteToo bad these well-meaning teachers are being herded like sheep to vote against the better candidates and their own best interest.
DeleteThat is SAD. TRISTE. Come on teachers, you taught us about Hitler, now don't let yourselves be herded like SS cattle to support the likes of Barbosa, a puppet of the most corrupt elements in Cameron County!
The culture is such that any stabs at improvement, at bettering local life, is a waste of time. Nothing is for the whole except bad air, bad streets, bad politics, bad tacos. To believe that any organization such as this one would benefit schoolchildren is to be naive. These "educators" most certainly are in it to better "themselves." Public education long-ago stopped being something to count on for our children. Warehousing is what school districts specialize in, with employees merely out to protect their paycheck. No, Maria, these professionals are not to be trusted. And I do not use the word "professionals" in any sort of complimentary manner, but to show that they are professional schemers.
ReplyDeleteRey
Amen, brother. You have hit the proverbial "clavo" on the head. I know Barton doesn't like Spanish in the comments, but here goes anyway. You should have your own blog, Rey! Chevere, vato.
DeleteM
Who's Maria!
Delete"I know Barton doesn't like Spanish in the comments"
DeleteClean, articulate comments in English or Spanish are welcome.
Jim
"One bad apple don't spoil the whole bunch girl." It is unfair to label members of an honorable profession with a blanket statement! What is truly unfair is for a group of intellectuals to be represented by a handfull of retards mesmerized by a condesending, presumptious, my shit don't stink, Patrick Hammes! That is the travesty! This is what a hundred members elected to lead over 4,000 members to the killing fields. And this is what will happen again if the teachers don't get out to vote! You get what you paid for, you burnt it, you eat it, if you serve shit, you eat shit!
ReplyDeleteFor your information, the city's Public Works Department has confirmed that Patrick Hammes's shit does stink. A test of his particular sewer line proved it. This was conducted on orders of a school district official who shares your concern. Traces of consumed avocado and chicken-fried steak were among the laboratory findings.
