Yolanda Begum is hosting a pachanga at one of Brownsville's newest hot spots, The Haven, at 1237 E. Adams Street. Just seeing how Juan Kenigstein has remodeled, furnished and decorated the new club is worth the trip. Add the free cuisine and available cash bar. But, don't forget the legendary Doc Scully Blues Band.
But, if you've not heard the group Making Charlie, that is more than enough reason to head downtown. Sarah Stapleton Reeves and Jake Reeves have a unique indie, folk and rock sound seldom heard in town.
