Elon Musk & Company Deliver Rocket to Cameron County

With only a little fanfare this past month, a Brownsville family took delivery of a rocket.  No, it was not SpaceX's Falcon Heavy, capable of transporting a payload of 53 metric tons with a liftoff thrust of 4 million pounds.

 Art Kalifa and his wife, Commissioner Jessica Tetreau-Kalifa, took delivery of a Tesla, a vehicle produced by another Elon Musk company, Tesla Motors.

Looming as evidence of the relevance of synchronicity, we submit the photo of Tetreau and a budding astronaut at the SpaceX scoping meeting held at the ITEC Center in 2012.  

 Art and Jessica will have to resist the urge to tell each other to "¡Dale Gas!" as this rocket has an electric motor. According to Jessica's Facebook page, two charging stations have been installed at Car Wash Plus! to keep the wheels rolling down the road.

    Good for them! If I had the money I'd buy one too. I hate paying my hard earned money to oil and gas companies who destroy our planet and are probably the reason most of us have had cancer.

      Yes, I see but she can't pay her employees, but she has money to buy a expensive car, pay your employees Jessica and art, everyone know you have made lots of money as a commissioner, use some of it to pay your employees

    Tesla car has a 2 year wait list to own. They probably ordered it years ago. It has won numerous awards and is All American made. It is nice to see our commission driving a America made car with new technology.

    Perhaps the community will learn about the merits of this vehicle. Of course Jessica hasn't made friends of the auto sales community but buying the Tesla. Its not good politics to piss off such a large business association by throwing a Tesla in their faces.

    That's probably why the lady from the Chevy dealership started blasting Jessica and her husband on RrunRrun. Chevy makes Volt which is a piece of junk next to a Tesla. Go Tesla and Jessica!
