  2. Dear Ben,

I love Crescent Moon and I'm sorry to hear about this. The reason we rarely bought drinks there, was because you didn't accept credit cards. You would have made a ton of money if we could have opened a tab at your place, as it was I often had to find someone around who had cash on them just to buy one beer cause I never have cash on me. No one carries cash these days. It was easier to just throw a bottle of wine from my own fridge in the backseat than go searching for an ATM downtown at night. Several of my friends also brought their own drinks for the same reason, and in hindsight I regret this may have played a role in why you decided to close the place. The music was amazing and the atmosphere irreplacable. The gulf breeze, live bands jamming out to the Beatles not Tejano or conjunto and the mural art was just right. I promise if you re-open Crescent Moon to accept credit cards it will easily double whatever it was you were taking in. Please reconsider closing this place!!

    Save Crescent Moon!

  4. Does anybody even bother to read the articles? The crescent Moon Cantina is not closing people! It will be re-opening under the name of Half Moon facing Adams Street.

No te digo, nomรกs se toman una bironga y no entienden lo que leen.

  5. Moros Boy, the rumor at Crescent moon on closing night was that it would be completely closed and a new operation opened indoors in a different part of the building with conventional music and furniture, like a downtown VICC or Cobbleheads. While an air conditioned venue would be nice in the summer, I do hope they don't whitewash over the wall murals, ruin the 60's hippie, indoor patio feel. It would be awesome if this new re-opening was an expansion of the existing retro 1960's garage band idea with an indoor addition, like bigger restrooms and a restaurant/bar area that accepts credit cards. But the impression I got is they are re-opening as a regular bar with conventional restaurant music bands, and the Crescent moon's famous King Jesus Christ whitewashed and turned into a storage room or something. hope I'm wrong. would love if they would leave everything set up at Crescent moon the way it is, bring their classic rock and band lineup to play there during the week or on weekends once the weather cools down would be excellent, the way it is with the cool breeze through the windows, the same people like J.J.
