The 7th Annual Sisters On the Run 5K & 1-Mile event was held Saturday to benefit the Proyecto Juan Diego Community Center at 3910 Paredes Line Road.

Proyecto Juan Diego is a 501(3)(c) charity aimed at improving the quality of life for families exposed to violence, generational poverty and/or immigration fears.

An after school program features one-on-one tutoring and a health and fitness class.

In 2024, the event raised $26,831 with 200 participants.  (We'll update with 2025 numbers when those become available.)
