SpaceX CEO Elon Musk joined President-Elect Donald Trump for the 6th testing launch of the Starship rocked at Boca Chica Tuesday. The pair have been as if joined at the hip since the November 5 election, with Trump's victory greatly aided by Musk's $200M donation to America PAC, small change actually considering Musk's current $15B portfolio of government contracts. In addition to financing Trump, Musk's social platform, X, put out a steady stream of pro-Trump advertising prior to the election.
Joining the Trump/Musk at the launching facility were Senator Ted Cruz, two other Republican senators and one Republican congressman.
Trump was impressed when Starship's reusable rocket booster returned to the launch tower and was caught by mechanical arms.
“Those arms grab it like you grab your baby, just like you grab your little baby. And it hugged it and just put it down, and there it was,” Trump said.
“The public has given us a mandate that could not be more clear,” Musk recently said of the election results.
Musk helped win the election but there were other owners that donated big money: ABS supply, Standard company, etc
