"Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness"
Tax Assessor Tony Yzaguirre with a friend |
The quote above from Irish playwright Oscar Wilde, who left the earthly scene in 1900, remains true today.
Cameron County Tax Assessor Tony Yzaguirre, hearing of his runoff rival Eddie Garcia's plans to educate the public about the various tax exemptions available, now plans to do something similar at different Board of Realtors facilities.
But, why did it take Yzaguirre 35 years to come up with this idea?
Well, we refer back to Oscar Wilde: "Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery that mediocrity can pay to greatness."
Tony's runoff opponent, Eddie Garcia, indeed feels flattered.
I’m sorry but Eddie is a poor candidate in fact both are… but like I said before Tony wins elections regardless of what you throw at him… tax exemptions information is available to any citizen… all his has to do is a little research on line… it is not an innovative idea
ReplyDeleteThe problem with most people in the Rgv is that they are clueless… undereducated, ill informed and don’t care about anything as long as they have their beer, and fajitas. They figure they don’t have to work because Biden/govt will provide. Let’s all become illegals and we can get everything free.. America, where have you gone?
ReplyDeleteYou must be the witch in his life. This man believes and practices Santeria. Asking him about chicken legs and running around fire. Is that why, you know for sure he will win.
ReplyDeleteYou should have gone to his office to get the facts. His office has been offering this information at least since I bought my home when then directed me as to how to secure the discounts. Further, the real indictment is on the realtors. Tony's office does not interact with homebuyers. This is all handled by the Cameron County Appraisal district, not Tony's office. You do not think the realtors are failing their clients by not giving them the forms and telling them to file them in Olmito? Further Eddies Sister Judge Garcia is under investigation for covering up a $5,000, bribe. Today she overruled the ADA, and the right to self-representation as guaranteed by the Texas and federal constitution. You need your brain examined if you are willing to trust our tax dollars trusted by Gabby or Eddie Garcia. Bad news for Gabby, Texas waived her immunity for violating the ADA. This woman is so stupid she had to be told she needs to set the bond amount before senting the person to jail. They when she got it wrong she admitted she did not even know the nature of the alleged crime and had no interest in hearing the eyewitness who saw what happened and the crime never actually happened. Now because of what is happening downtown in the old jail deputies have been reassigned and inmates who posted bail are not being released.
ReplyDeleteEddie is copying Tony, Jim. Tony has been doing this since last year around the county,. KRGV had almost wall to wall coverage of it.Google can be your friend. Do better than Juan with your candidate worship.
ReplyDeleteJim will not correct his disinformation. Tony has not copied Eddie. Jim knows it. Jim is no better than Montoya or McHale. We deserve better bloggers. Where have you gone Joe (BWC) DiMaggio?
ReplyDeleteI'm certainly not better than anyone, but your comment was published.
DeleteOne big difference between the other two bloggers… Jim is not for sale
ReplyDeleteJim, I commend you and your blog, I don’t agree with you most of the time or the candidates you favor, But you are honest and believe in what you do/say, Dig a little deeper, and you will find so much more…
ReplyDeleteThanks. Digging deeper is always good advice, but, if you have specific useful information that could provide some direction, the citizens will certainly benefit.
DeleteOh, BTW, I don't endorse candidates.
