I was at a friend's house Sunday, someone I've known well for 57 years.
"Well, what have you been up to?" my old friend asked.
When I told my friend I'd been at an event for Eddie Garcia, he asked: "A short guy?" (My friend is about 6'2")
"Oh, I shared some classes at TSC with Eddie and we both worked for the City of Brownsville. One thing about that guy is that whatever city board he served on, he always took the leadership role. That guy is just a born leader and always has done great work for Brownsville."
Just thought I'd share that unsolicited testimonial from someone I've known and respected for 57 years.

Not wasting my vote in democrat primary and voting for Eddie Garcia. Believe he is on bisd board as well. He comes up for re election in November 2024. I don't what happened. Always seeing videos as well while this retired police officer is driving around brownsville. What is purpose of him on school board with bisd and now he wants to run as tax assessor with cameron county.
