 Certainly, the unwary, inexperienced and gullible can be fooled by fakery.

Counterfeit items are everywhere; fake luggage, fake hair, fake breasts and, of course, fake money.

No one needs to be reminded of the existence of fake news.

With politicos, fakery is almost assumed, although some lower the bar more than others with almost nothing about them legit.

We also, unfortunately, live in a world of fake journalists writing fake stories turning us all into fact-checkers, not wanting to be duped, tricked or fooled yet again.
