So, one of the much-maligned G.O.P. junior varsity dropped out yesterday, church boy Tim Scott?

It matters little except for narrowing our focus to 4, instead of 5 wannabes who will never win the Republican nomination; Ramaswamy, who intentionally turned himself into argumentative little bitch, but not winning a Tony for his performance on stage, Nikki Haley with the disagreeable whine and alleged 5-inch heels,  DeSantis, who wasted daddy's money on Harvard AND Yale, while a public speaking course at Toastmasters while practicing his toothy smile in front of a mirror might have better served, and former N.J. Gov. Christie, who's turned himself into an anti-Trump one-trick pony.

None of the above can get within 40 points of the Donald, who spouts gibberish with every mouth opening, but is loved, adored, worshipped by MAGA for "standing up for 'merica."

A Biden-Trump contest in 2024 will bore the Ha'des outta most of the country, because, although Trump is Trump, Biden is not Barack Obama or Jack Kennedy, intellects who would destroy the Orange Man like shooting fish in a barrel.

Oh, if you're well past the age of Social Security, think back to how wordsmith William F. Buckley, Jr, the noted Republican racist of yesteryear, would have verbally destroyed, dissected, then desecrated Donald John Trump, laughing all the way till the bell ended the round.

I'm certainly in the minority here, but, for me, one guy looms in the shadows, the lone highwayman, who could actually make the 2024 election interesting, issue-oriented; Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg, but two never happenings stand in the way; Biden dropping out and a Black woman VP being bypassed.

Anyway, nothing would energize the MAGA base like running against the LGBTQ.
