Should you spot a child on the streets of Matamoros selling Chiclets or flowers, or dressed as a clown while juggling, know this may not be this child's career choice.

Many children are being kidnapped in Chiapas and transported to Matamoros to make money for adults in this way.

Miroslava de la Garza Luna of Sistema DIF

Sistema DIF(Integral Family Development) of Matamoros, run by Miroslava de la Garza Luna, removes these kids off the street whenever they're reported, but more importantly keeps them out of orphanages, working to unite them with their parents while helping the parents qualify for such family unification.

Camp Hogar, Matamoros

DIF also utilizes a halfway house for such children six miles south of Matamoros, Camp Hogar, directed by a woman named Esther.
