Reverand Gerardo Gonzalez

A pastor from Mission, the Reverend Gerardo Gonzalez of the Iglesia Renacimiento Cristiano, has been accused by four different women of sexual groping or an attempt to do so during one-on-one prayer sessions.

Two of the women told police that Gonzalez placed one hand on their shoulder or the back of their head, the other hand on their genitals as they engaged in prayer.

A third woman described Gonzalez as placing both hands on her genitals and moving them "up and down."  

She also noticed that the pastor was getting an erection and that, afterwards, he "adjusted his pants," then went to the restroom.

A fourth victim told police that the pastor's hands were moving toward her genital area when the pastor's wife came on stage and the pastor moved his hands away.

Police documents note that the women said the pastor positioned the podium so as to shield the church audience from the groping.

Gonzalez told police that his wife is always present when he prays with women and that she puts her hands between them, something the pastor's wife later denied.

Gonzalez' bond was set at $400,000 and, as of Tuesday, he remains in jail.
