MEET OUR DUMBEST U.S. SENATOR, TOMMY TUBERVILLE

Senator Tommy Tuberville

The recognition is not unearned.  In fact, the results were not even close.

Thomas Hawley Tuberville, that is, Senator Tommy Tuberville is a dim bulb.

Or, with no intended offense to boulders, pebbles or gravel, Tommy is dumb as a rock and easily the dumbest of all 100 U.S. Senators.

Dumbest congressman?

Quite possibly, but Rep. Marjorie Taylor Greene says hello.

Tommy, Tommy, Tommy!

Shortly after Tuberville's election in November 2020, he gave an interview where he identified the three branches of government as "the House, the Senate and the executive."

Tommy also has a scary view of white nationalism:

"My opinion of a white nationalist, if someone wants to call them a white nationalist, to me is an American."

Is that an accurate quote or did Tommy say "Merican"?

Of course, when called out by other Republican senators, Tommy tried to "walk back" his statement on white nationalism, but still thinks they should be allowed in the military.

In 2021, Tommy's brother, Charles Tuberville, let the world know that he and his brother did not share the same world view:  “I’ll try and make this brief,” Charles Tuberville said in a post. “As some of you know, my brother Tommy Tuberville is the senior U.S. Senator from the state of Alabama elected in 2021(2020).

“Due to recent statements by him promoting racial stereotypes, white nationalism and other various controversial topics, I feel compelled to distance myself from his ignorant, hateful rants. What I’m trying to say is that, I DO NOT agree with any of the vile rhetoric coming out of his mouth.”

TommyTuberville is currently embarrassing his party and the country with his blockage of hundreds of appointments in the U.S. military to protest abortion rights for service members.

As for now, the Department of Defense has sidestepped Tommy's barricade by allowing officers to serve while their appointment is "pending."

So, how did this idiot, who polled only 33% of the vote in the Republican primary end up being elected with a 60.7% plurality?

Tuberville's key to victory in 2020 was his total alignment with Donald J. Trump, a tremendously popular figure in Alabama.

Alabamians do "luv them some Trump" and the challenged Tommy Tuberville, Senator Tommy Tuberville, is clear proof of that.
