Saturday at 8:50 PM a Texas National Guardsman deployed on the border at El Paso discharged his weapon across the Rio Grande River striking a Mexican National in the leg.
Darwin Jose Garcia, 37, the man struck, was first treated by paramedics, then taken to a Juarez hospital and later released.
On Sunday, Texas Governor Greg Abbott, the moving force behind the multi-billion dollar Operation Lonestar released this statement: "Texas will not stand idly by while Biden's open border policies wreak havoc with our nation."
According to an F.B.I. spokesperson, the Texas Rangers are investigating the incident.
It has not been determined if the weapon discharged accidentally or was fired intentionally "over the heads" of migrants attempting to cross the Rio Grande.
One rumor contends that the National Guardsman was responding to three men who were attacking migrants with a knife and fired over their heads to ward off the attack.
Some in Mexico have called for the guardsman to be extradited to Mexico to face charges.
You're always quick to criticize Governor Abbott, Jim, but what is your lover Biden doing to protect the border?
ReplyDeleteAlthough I'm not a Biden lover as you suggest, it may interest you that, under Title 42, the Trump administration expelled just under 400,000 undocumented in his 4 year term of office. Biden, in 2-1/2 years has expelled 2,280,000.
DeleteYeah, 2,280,000 because Biden told them to come. If he hadn't stirred the pot this shit show wouldn't be going on and the numbers wouldn't be so high. Trump's numbers are lower, because he wasn't telling them to come, like Biden.
DeleteThis response from a Trumper was not unexpected. Something Trump did successfully suppress during his administration was LEGAL immigration. Racist advisor Stephen Miller, who also authored the Muslim ban, saw to that. Miller and Trump had a common goal; MAKE AMERICA WHITE AGAIN!
DeleteI thought the national guard was not supposed to have live ammunition.
ReplyDeleteBarton don’t listen to that idiot he obviously has difficulties understanding objective measures called facts. 2.28 million in half the time versus 400k is a difficult pill for a straw-man to accept. Kind of like the results of the 2020 election. Take the “L” in both columns bro!
ReplyDeleteWhen other countries provide: jobs, clean water, health benefits, peace of mind etc the influx of people into the USA will stop. Here in the USA you work and you save and you buy a car, send money to your family back home, send your children to school to become doctors.....The problem is the other countries that abuse people. The solution: fix the problems in your countries.
