CUSTOMERS MAY SHOP ELSEWHERE AS TXDOT TURNS BOCA CHICA BLVD INTO THE U-TURN CAPITAL OF THE WORLD

The severely restrictive medians on the stretch of Boca Chica Boulevard from Frontage Road to Four Corners were not well thought out.

TxDot has turned Brownsville's Boca Chica Blvd. into the u-turn capital of the world, making u-turns necessary at Frontage Road, Old Port Isabel Road or Four Corners to simply cross the street.

Customers may soon decide to simply shop elsewhere,

  1. Temporary. Why don't you wait until they've finished. easy to criticize from the couch.

    How old are you?

    1. The landscaping may not be completed, but the concrete medians are. It is what it is. As Brownsville traffic increases, this may be the city's biggest bottleneck. My age is irrelevant, simply a red herring used by someone incapable of logical discussion.

  2. I don’t think they were asking your age as a red herring. More so to determine if you’re senile. Don’t you realize the median was to speed up traffic, which has worked. Now if we could only get it paved. Citizens had their chance to give input to TXDOT, which they didn’t. Where were you then Barton?

    1. Either you have the uncanny ability to read the minds of blog commenters or you're the troll who made the previous comment. I was actually at the meeting of the Cameron County Regional Mobility Authority when Mark Lund et al made the decision on the Boca Chica project, largely to spend the balance of their annual budget lest it be reduced. No need to respond. I already have a daily troll from McAllen, unemployed, unloved and unwanted. I've no need of others of that disrespectful ilk.
