DRAMA, SUBPLOTS AND PUPPETMASTERS DOMINATE COBBLEHEADS CATY EVENT

The District 2 City Commissioner race is really not Jessica Tetreau versus Caty Presas-Garcia.  It's Brownsville's bloodsucking leech, Carlos Marin, versus the ghost of convicted con artist Carlos Quintanilla, the bad man who orchestrated the election of Caty Presas-Garcia to the BISD school board in 2008.

 If it is apparent that Presas-Garcia is no longer beguiled by Quintanilla, while Tetreau is taking marching orders from Marin, as many Brownsville folk assume, this race is a so-called "no-brainer."

 Brownsville is tired of Marin's shit.

Craig Grove, the master of ceremony for the Presas-Garcia event, who managed Tetreau's campaign during the historic write-in win over gutter ball Charlie Atkinson, told the Cobbleheads crowd tonight that, while happy with Tetreau's first years as city commissioner, that now she'd gone over to the dark side, succumbing to "special interests." 

 Most Brownsville political observers take "special interests" to mean Carlos Marin, a 5'5 stocky elitist whose modus operandi is profiting financially from his political connections.

After Officer Perez of the Brownsville Police Department did her musical thing and TSC board member Dr. Tony Zaveleta lamented Brownsville's historically poor leadership, Presas-Garcia took the stage promising to thoroughly canvass the 15,000 residents of District 2 and bring back a victory.

 We missed Jessica Tetreau's event last week, not receiving an invitation, but noted in pictures that the Democratic power players including Gilberto Hinojosa and Sylvia Garza-Perez were in attendance.  Those operatives did not make the Presas-Garcia meet and greet.

 Notable in attendance at the Presas-Garcia event were the Brownsville firefighters including Jorge Lerma, former Police Chief Orlando Rodriguez and current officer David Dale.

Presas-Garcia acknowledged an Iowa couple, Mr. and Mrs. Gilberto Moreno, for "sponsoring" the Cobbleheads event.

    No way in hell that I will support this person. My commissioner has been wonderful and paved my street even though I didn’t ask for it. I will not jeopardize my district by voting for someone that did what she did to our BISD. No le dicen Cata La Rata por nada.

    Did Jessica ever own up to calling downtown people illegals yet? Did she apologize for it yet? Has she FINALLY admitted to getting involved in police matters? Is she still pushing for her friends ex lover for chief of police? I hope she accepts a sit down with Caty and that it's open to the public so we can finally get some answers. But something tells me she will shy away from this. And her voters and support groups she really asked the question is to why would she avoid it. If she has done as much good as they say she has what does she have to hide??????

      I believe Cata’s bisd loss humbled her and she can move this city forward . Jessica in the other hand is moving this city backwards, all her decisions are self interest, what’s best for her and not looking at what’s best for her district or the city..

    What ever happened with the allegation against tetreau involving the pics from that house. Rumor had it that the police chief gave the photos. Isn't that a bit much? Does she have that much influence over the police chief? Is the new city manager looking into that?

      The police chief that gave up those photos was orlando. Thank God he is gone. Too bad his vicious snake of a wife (who hhe brought to work for him against city policy) is still there. Orlando, his singing cop and david el recorder dale were all at cata's event trying to butter her up
