Don't be so harsh, Jim. Without their other star, it was only a matter of time before the Big Three would shoot the lights out of the Rockets. With only a rotation of seven players, they quit driving to the basket because they were too tired and started firing threes instead. During one stretch they went zero for twenty seven. Is that statistically possible? As they used to say when we were kids and the Dodgers were still in Brooklyn, "Wait 'til next year, you schmuck."
ReplyDeleteOK, historian, before the Giants and Dodgers moved west. . '58??? My neighbor played for the San Francisco Seals. His wife served me my first taco, very crisp tortilla with hamburger meat and lettuce/tomato salad with vinegar. Not authentic, but tasted OK.
DeleteRepublicans don't care. That is, in its distilled state, simply the truth. They don't care. Most Trump voters probably believe that the administration will have zero effect on their personal lives. And all they wanted to do was poke their collective thumbs in the eyes of the establishment (as they saw it). If it pisses off the coastal "elites", then great! That's all they wanted to do.
ReplyDeleteThey watch us scream in horror at the destruction of critical American institutions, and they feel good. Trump is the irritant that keeps on giving. And that's all they want. They don't care. They still think Trump won't have any effect on their lives. Coal jobs won't come back, The Wall won't be built. Chicken slaughterers will continue to employ Mexican peasants. The unskilled economy will still continue to circle the drain. Trump will take "credit" for all the jobs being created. "The best in history." We will wail and gnash our teeth. And the Trumpistas will continue to feel wonderful. They don't care.
