National magazines, in dire need of revenue, sell a subscribee's name to other companies. So, it was not surprising, when blogger Bobby Wightman-Cervantes sent our 7 year old grandson Jack a gift subscription to the National Geographic, that Jack would begin receiving offers from other magazines.
Just last week Jack received solicitations from the Saturday Evening Post and Texas Highways.
In today's mail was a unique offer for the little boy, two temporary membership cards for AAA Texas, one for little Jack and the other for his "household." The card explicitly states: "covers you as driver or passenger in ANY car, SUV or pickup truck, not just your own.
I interrupted Jack from his daily hour of studying coding on code.org to ask if he wanted to keep the membership cards, after explaining their purpose.
"No. Why don't you and grandma use them?" he replied, barely looking up from the computer.

on Trump: He’s winging it daily. It depressing to think how low in world standing he has taken our already great country. Even more sad is how many people we will lose before he exits.
