    What degrees does this person hold, and what business do firefighters have deciding the future of my child's education? No offense to any firefighters, but my child needs educated people in charge of her education, not first responders. Just because you know how to put out a fire doesn't qualify you to prepare children for Harvard or even UTRGV. Is this the man the filed charges against another board member for verbally assaulting him? No thank you! My child does not need unnecessary drama in her classroom.

      Oh Carlos, do you not have anything better to say!! 1st any american is in tiled to run for any office position, 2nd all BISD STAFF NEEDS A VOICE TO EXPOSE CORRUPTION THAT OUR TRUSTEE'S ARW DOING.. AS I RECALL ISN'T IT A CONFLICT OF INTEREST THAT WE RIGHT NOW HAVE A BISD BOARD MEMBER THAT IS THE BROWNSVILLE FIRE CHIEF, AND HE IS DEALING WITH CONTRACTS? SO MY QUESTION IS WHY HAS NO ONE REMOVED HIM? AND AS FOR RIGO IN MY PERSONAL OPINION HE IS A GREAT MAN, A MAN WHO WOULD GIVE YOU HIS SHIRT OF HIS BACK . AND HE BEING A BISD BOARD TRUSTEE I FEEL HE WILL EXPOSE ALL THE SHANNIGANS THAT OUR BOARD MEMBERS ARE DOING. WHEN YOU GO OUT AND VOTE THIS NOVEMBER DO NOT VOTE FOR CORRUPTION VOTE FOR HONESTY, SOMEONE WHO WILL HELP THE STAFF MEMBERS, CHILDREN, SPECIAL NEEDS PROGRAM..

      One, I am NOT Carlos. Two, I am NOT voting for you Rigo Bocanegra- nor are any of my family or friends. We believe the children of BISD deserve people who are there to believe, encourage, and work hard for the children who depend of BISD for their eduction. Three, your petty behavior and lack of morals is what makes you a poor role model for BISD children.

      Can you honestly can tell me that you did not file charges against another board member who is not even up for re-election this term for VERBAL assault? And now you want to me to vote for you to work alongside this person for the sake of our children? NO THANK YOU!!! If you want to battle corruption like you say you want to, you should have applied to be a police officer instead of a fireman.

      Too much is at stake in the BISD race... I will not be voting for Rigo Bocanegra because the children of BISD deserve better.

      I do not know what your talking about filing charges? And against who? And how do you know anything about someone filing charges on a board member? Unless it is you that they filed charges on!! Just saying...

      Just another loser using special needs children for his advantage. Why can't you help our children without exploiting them? That's why he is called Rigo Bad Mouth Bocanegra.

    Sergio Zararte should be running for BISD to help the special needs kids of the district. This man cannot do what Mr. Zararte can do because he knows first hand the struggles these children face. Us parents that know the stuggle our children have in this life do not have the means to be running to this bored. Zararte runs for state judicial and city commission... but never for the place he needs to make a difference. I will be voting for Sergio Zararte.
