"A grand opening?" he asked.
"No, its a political event for Yolanda Begum. A loteria," I responded. Satisfied, he drove off.
The very nice facility was full with loteria players and other candidates. Ruben and Irma Pena visited for a bit, as did Alex Dominguez. Joe Rivera walked by us as did Sylvia Garza-Perez. We visited for a few minutes with Ramon Hinojosa of the TSC Board. He agreed the Tenaska/P.U.B. deal was terrible for Brownsville ratepayers.
If you had told the cop it was a grand opening, he would immediately had called the inspectors, to come check permits hoping to find some thing wrong to shut it down, they love to do that!!!
ReplyDeleteWhy was it a dud?
ReplyDeletePeople were turned away at the door, ? wtf

ReplyDeleteWow!! Guess we know where the support is at. Shit, Begum got it all.
ReplyDeleteGO YOLANDA!!!!
ReplyDeleteThe place looks nice inside. Is it open to the general public? Is it going to be for the folks that can pay high prices and "Estrellas" going to be for the working crowd?
ReplyDeleteI dont know Ms. Begum but better her than her predecessor.
