  1. I respect and admire the efforts of CAVA and hope they can be successful in their fight against voter fraud in Cameron County. Their's is an uphill battle against entrenched corruption....or the culture of corruption that is invasive in this area. If someone reports voter fraud....chances are it will be swept under the carpet and the only one to get hurt will be the person who challenges the status quo. Too many politiqueras are part of the Democratic Party Family....that they support the "family" and know little about any candidate. The "palanca" remains powerful here and we can only hope that CAVA can be effective.

  2. I saw the interview and laughed the entire time. It was funny to see this idiot woman so nervous and barely know anything about the subject. I'm sure that the investigation is going strong into the last candidate that she supported, Tony Zavaleta, since it was clear that he used politiqueras. Please update us on the investigation Mary Helen.

    1. It's quite hilarious when people want to SHINE LIGHT on those who have manipulated the system and brainwash the people for so long, that any attempt to FIX corruption results to insulting. Because that's all you pretty much had, oh aside the whole "she was so nervous" bullshit.

  4. Good luck with this effort. You can tell the politiquera users are threatened when they attack people for trying to clean up our community. The problem of voter fraud is an epidemic on the border not just in Cameron County.

  5. March 28, 2012 11:38 AM - Cut this lady some slack. At least she is trying to do something positive for all of us. I am amazed at how much disrespect is thrown at so many people trying to make a difference - case in point, the bus drivers and monitors. Sickening...low class/no class mentality. Mary Helen - keep up your efforts. You are appreciated.

  8. Those who have nothing of value to offer will attack viciously as they have nothing of substance to add to the conversation. We laugh at such people. The tide is changing...get used to it politqueras. You are all on your way out and that is with the help of both Democratic and Republican voter's who refuse to be led by the nose by anyone or any family. Pfft...to that. We can spot you all a mile away. Sniffing around, taking names and numbers, like we should be wary of you having such information. We do not hide in the dark nor the underbelly of Brownville...We are the LIGHT
