Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum is Jewish, the second child of chemist Carlos Sheinbaum Yoselevitz and biologist Annie Pardo Cemo.
Religion is no factor as Sheimbaum has made clear she is planning to invite the new Pope, Leo XIV, to visit Mexico in the near future.
“First of all, I want to congratulate him, he is the new leader of the Catholic church, head of the Vatican state,” Sheinbaum said.
“He is a beacon for the poor, which is good, he’ll tend to their needs and at the same time build peace and prosperity worldwide. Mexico has a population that is primarily Catholic and Pope Leo XIV is someone who deserves our congratulations.”

Now comes the time for Progress . RIP Pope Francis. The church will not be lead by an alien episcopal supremacy but someone from the Good Ole US of A. Pope Francis ran towards the arc of justice , and hopefully Pope Leo XIV will give everyone the message to live and let live. Most Catholics feel this way although I have only surveyed 18 of the 1.4 Billion Catholics to be truthful.
