For about a half day, even as I pushed a cart through the aisles of H.E.B. Plus, I've been thinking about Presidential lying.  That subject was triggered when I learned about Trump's presentation to South Africa's President about so-called white genocide, a subject he broached using old news accounts from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Such overt and pernicious lying would have been a huge scandal in any previous administration, but for the Liar-in-Chief its standard operating procedure.  Trump pulls lies from his ass daily and no one thinks anything about it.  He even doubles or triples figures to make a point and no one winces.

Everything I read about "compulsive" and "pathological" lying made me think Trump's is the latter as it involves manipulation for personal gain done consciously.

On the left: Trump's 2017 inauguration, On the right: Barack Obama's 2009 inauguration

Poor Sean Spicer, Trump's first press secretary, had to go in front of the press corps in 2017 to lie about Trump's 2017 inauguration as the "largest audience to ever witness an inauguration."  Even though he's since apologized, that lie makes it impossible for Spicer to ever be taken seriously and the young blonde girl now at the President's press podium is doing the exact same thing to her future.  Every person Trump touches turns to shit.

Oh, Trump's not the only liar we've had in the Oval Office.  George W. Bush lied about Iraq's Saddam Hussein having weapons of mass destruction.  According to a Lancet study, that lie cost between 650,000 and 943,000 lives, all blood on George W. Bush's hands, the evil bastard!

Most of Joe Biden's lies seemed motivated to protect his family, primarily his son, Hunter Biden.  Republicans claim Biden made over $11M annually as President, but, after 50 years in politics, his net worth is $10M so someone is confused or misrepresenting.

Don't forget Fox News $787.5M settlement for lies with respect to the 2020 election, really just chump change to Rupert Murdoch because the lies contributed to Donald Trump's election.

While on the subject of paid journalistic lying, don't forget the rightwing influencers Russia paid to promote Trump and discourage Ukraine's defense, folks like Tim Pool, Dave Rubin, Benny Johnson, Lauren Southern, Taylor Hansen, Matt Christiansen and others on Russia's payroll for $100,000-400,000 per month.

Now, with AI facilitating lying, it's necessary to fact-check every graph, every meme, every internet news item as we live in a world of gawdamn liars.

  1. You’re ridiculously out of touch with today’s politics. You even married some jungle Asian cause you couldn’t hack it with actual white women. Embarrassing and totally unserious.
