Cassidy Hutchinson |
Yet another former aide in the Trump White House has come forward to enhance our view of the Trump presidency.
Cassidy Hutchinson, an assistant to Chief of Staff Mark Meadows in the Trump administration, in her visit yesterday with MSNBC host Rachel Maddow described herself as "still a Republican and a conservative, but said "I don't think Trump represents that."
Cassidy urged other Republicans to "take a stand against Trump," who she described as a "threat to democracy" and someone motivated to get reelected to get revenge on his enemies.
"If these politicians, these men and some women who are currently in Congress, want to make a break and want to take a stand, they have to do it now. We can't wait any longer for them to do it. I don't understand why they are so loyal to him. I think it's very disappointing and it's not a difficult issue to take," she said.
Cassidy is not alone in her observations about Trump. Defense Secretary James Mattis, Navy Secretary Richard Spencer, Chief of Staff John Kelley, National Security Adviser H.R. McMaster, Secretary of State Rex Tillerson, Special Representative Kurt Volker and others who served in the Trump administration, have all since described him as unsuitable to hold the office of President.
