Rose Vela, the Wife of Congressman Filemon Vela, Opens Office As Personal Injury Attorney

Rose Vela served as Republican Judge in the 13th District Court of Appeals from 1/1/2007 to 12/31/2012, relinquishing her position when her husband, Filemon Vela, won the 34th Congressional District of Texas as a Democrat.

  4. Not much insight in the above comments. This blog doesn't take political advertising, only AdSense. I've not seen the Bronsbil blog, so I can't comment.

    Nena and I visited with Rose Vela back during the original campaign in 2012, found her engaging, personable. We talked about music, art and life for about two hours, not politics.

    She did relinquish her judgeship, moved to Washington to support her husband. I found it newsworthy, that after five years, she wanted to restart her career. No money changed hands to report that fact, but that's hard for some, who measure things monetarily, to understand.
