Looking Ahead to 2020 for Charismatic, Non-Traditional Presidential Candidates

Documentary Film Maker, Michael Moore
You may recall film maker Michael Moore's comments last month:

“Democrats would be better off if they ran Oprah [Winfrey] or Tom Hanks,” said Moore. “Why don’t we run beloved people? We have so many of them. The Republicans do this – they run [Ronald] Reagan and the Terminator [Arnold Schwarzenegger] and other people.”

Moore continued: “Why don’t we run somebody that the American people love and are really drawn to, and that are smart and have good politics and all that?”

Moore may have a point.  Certainly, Trump's election proves you don't have to be an ideologue or even know much about government policy to be elected President.  You need not have any experience in holding office.

Dr. Phil McGraw
Dr. Phil McGraw, with a long-running TV show, featuring family and life counseling, talk therapy, his wife's beauty product line and an online medical doctor app, has demonstrated strong communication skills, while not betraying his politics. Could he be a candidate in 2020 for one of the parties?

Howard Stern
Would the country that overlooked Trump's self-described "pussy grabbing" be willing to look past the X-rated nature of Howard Stern's radio show, but see him as a free thinker, who could bring change, capable of communicating with the American people? Will post-Trump America call on Stern for relief after The Donald's four year experiment?
