Despite Going 0-6 in BND and TSC Races, Car Dealer Mike Hernandez III Is Not Going Away

Somehow Brownsville voters dodged the six bullets sent their way by Dallas car dealer Mike Hernandez III. They rejected all 6 of his candidates for the Brownsville Navigation District and Texas Southmost College elections.

The final defeat was the trouncing OP 10.33 candidate Evelyn Cantu received at the hands of Tony Zavaleta-Reid Saturday in the TSC election runoff.

The subliminal message sent by Hernandez selection of 6 candidates for positions critical to Brownsville's future, especially picking two total novices like Daniel Pizana and Beatriz Hockaday, throwing at least $140,000 into their campaigns, was that Mike himself knew more about running BND and TSC than any of those already serving.

Let the record show that, despite Hernandez being one of many thousand successful car dealers in the U.S., he proved himself an annoying amateur in his entry into Brownsville politics.  It's doubtful he's an expert in managing a port or community college, either.

We bloggers, for once united at something, might be inclined to take partial credit for Mike's bitter defeats, but the more likely truth is that, for these horse races, Mike chose to put his money down on nags.  It's sometimes called market research, Mike.

Mike also made himself a subject of derision by aligning himself with Carlos Marin, who, despite keeping a low public profile, has manipulated Brownsville politics for years to the benefit of his engineering firm Ambiotec, Inc.

Eddie Lucio III
But, Mike is hardheaded. He's not going away. He's already working another angle to influence Brownsville. According to Juan Montoya, State Senator Eddie Lucio III and his staffer Ruben O'Bell are already quite comfortable, thank you, in rides furnished by D&M Leasing, Hernandez' dealership in Dallas.  Lucio III was hired by Hernandez as a "consultant."
Who's next for a car?  Maybe, Brownsville backstabber "Representative" Rene Oliveira will get something to drive.  Make sure you provide insurance, Mike.

  1. Hernandez should sell his high priced condo on the Island and take his house boy and go back to Dallas area. He can thake Lucio III and Marin with him too. We don't need these sleeze bags in our area.

    1. What people never understood is that RenΓ© is and always has been a corporate big business attorney. If you look at what he pushes in Austin under everybody's noses the past 17 yrs is for business and fuck the middle and poor income tax payers. From what I understand is that he rode Arnulfos coat tales to become what he is today. people that new Arnulfo Oliviera personally said that he had integrity, and morals and that he didn't use his position to manipulate and coerce people

    2. Arnulfo Oliveira, may he rest in peace, was a good and honorable man. If he were alive yoday, his heart would be broken. All that he worked for was almost destroyed by those he would have placed 100% of his trust in.

  6. Sylvia la clerk Perez and Carlos Elizondo lost all the races in TSC and the port of brownsville including Evelyn Cantu. The only race la clerk won is Eddie Trevino but I hear Trevino gives the credit to Tony Martinez.

  7. Lucio the Terd is simply a member of the lucky sperm club riding on daddies coattail. Lucio, your Lupus should be taking you out pretty soon I hope.

  8. What people fail to understand here is that Mike Hernandez supported Villarreal, Rivera, Mendez and PizaΓ±a. Raul Villarreal nearly beat an entrenched imcumbent with strong political ties. Trey Mendez won and was supported by Hernandez. Never once did Mike Hernandez endorse or give money to Hockaday or Cantu. OP10.33 is fighting to keep politicians accountable for their actions. I am surprised at all this blatant misinformation from supposed "news sources".

    1. Nearly beat? Are you also one of those people that thinks every kid should get a trophy? That is the worst case of magical thinking I have seen in a long time. Ok, here is the deal: create jobs, help people, but stay out of politics BECAUSE YOU'RE NO FUCKING GOOD AT IT! I don't know what you all are snorting, smoking, shooting, or drinking, but it has turned you all into something we call : INCREDIBLE FUCKHEADS. Now, if you really want to help Brownsville then go help McAllen. I could keep going, but what purpose would that serve? We all already know it, and you at OP1033 are too BRAINFUCKED for a word of this sage advice to sink in.

    2. Joe is right. Mike never supported Hockaday and Pizana. He didn't support Evelyn Cantu either. That was Marin's wife. They are good friends.

He gave money to Dan Sanchez, Eddie Trevino, Trey Mendez, Villarreal and Rivera.

Mike is giving money to people that Marin says they need to go.

Oliveira also got some money from Mike.
