No Rio Grande Valley City Even Compares to Brownsville

From the editor:  Former Mayor Pat Ahumada used to say:  "McAllen is eating our lunch." Economically, McAllen does seem to outstrip Brownsville with bank deposits, sale tax collections, per capita income all being much higher.

But, of course, McAllen has no soul. It's simply a larger version of Harlingen.  Why would anyone actually CHOOSE to live in either one of those towns?

We spent an hour Sunday afternoon taking these pics in downtown Brownsville:

  3. We lost Brownsville already, haven't you noticed it is part of North Matamoros Mexico.

  4. A)In Brownsville Realtors do not care who moves here, as long as they have the cash to buy homes.
    B)Where is the "migra" here? Looking the other way? .....Pinches mamones, they probably were paid off to keep their mouth clossed.
