Sarah Palin to Immigrants: "Be Here Legally and Learn to Speak American!"

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin

Appearing on CNN's State of the Union with Jake Tapper via a video hookup to Wasilla, Alaska, Sarah Palin touched on a variety of current issues.

She felt Obama's recent trip to Alaska was largely a "tourist trip," that his renaming of Mount McKinley as Denali was unnecessary since the national park had already been renamed.

When pressed about immigration, Palin said that "immigrants should be here legally and learn to speak American."

  3. "Mensa" is not a Mexican word....it is derived from Latin....which surely predates "Mexican". This is controversial here because Mexicans coming to the US are the least likely group to speak English. Other ethnic groups coming to the US have mastered English and excelled in the education process. Asians have the highest percentage of graduate degrees by percentage of population. Why don't Mexicans care about education?????????????????????

  4. They all speak American. It is North AMERICA, Central AMERICA, South AMERICA. There are more countries in the Americas that speak Spanish than speak English. I would love to see Palin speak her American without using words that came from Spanish.
