Why would you support Jessica "Chicken Lips" Tetreau? She has clearly demonstrated an inability to effect policy in the city and seems enamored by the media and cameras. She is just as much a joke as her predecessor, Charlie Atkinson.

When he couldn't find Jessica and another lady he was looking for, he shouted: "Just tell Jessica I will be pulling people of houses to vote for Sergio Zarate!" Erasmo Castro also witnessed this.

"Tits" Tetreau has been the worst commissioner in Brownsville history. She is absent for important votes or abstains. We need a real man in that position. Vote for Sergio Zarate for Commissioner District 2.

In 2012 CAVA didn't just say, here's a picture of two people in close proximity they must be working together. Photos had to be corroborated with individual witness testimony, license plates, physical evidence, or signatures to back it up. That picture yesterday just looked like a drive-by photobomb and someone trying to smear Zarate. Because Herminia doesn't live in or work District 2. So sign an affidavit or stop posting bullshit comments on the blogs.

ReplyDeleteI didnt vote for Mr. Zarate. I've had about 6 or 7 calls within the last week or so to vote for him. Some in Spanish, some in English. I've had the same number of calls for Tony Martinez and only one for Ms. Tetreau. I dont know Mr Zarate but I've heard him speak and he is just as bad as Tony Martinez. I had a legal matter with his attorney wife and she never had the courtesy to return my call. I guess my vote was not important then, as for the many calls that I've gotten during the past week. Tony Martinez is even inviting people to Los Camperos on Sunday. I guess if you are an attorney and have money you can do that. I am wondering if he would invite people to Los Camperos any day of the year when there are no elections going on, people from Las Prietas, Southmost, Portway Acres, Cameron Park, people that work to feed their families, people that ride the city bus because they cannot afford to buy even a used car. Call them up Mr Mayor, call them up in June, after the 4th of July, on a regular weekend. Those running for the city commission and mayor, weather you currently hold a position or want to hold the position; how many times during the year have you gone to the "Good Neighbor Settlement House" to serve a meal?, visit old people at a nursing home, people that spend their time without anyone visiting them- (going to centers for old folks just to get votes DOES NOT count). Help out during Easter Seals, Muscular Dystrophy. Mr. Zarate has or had a cleaning business; did he contribute to "Tim's Coats" during the Winter months? Please dont tell me what you want to do, inform me what you have already done and how has that had a positive impact in Brownsville. Dont tell me you have an organization for special children; let the parents of those special children speak on your behalf; how many of them have received help? how many parents can truly say they thank you for such organization, how many of those families live in low social economic areas in Brownsville? ALL OF YOU want to run your campaigns the old fashion Cameron County way and you dont realize that the electorate/demographics change.

Since you seem to be unaware of the dedication Sergio Zarate has given toward the plight of valley families with autistic children ....you might read up a bit before making off handed remarks about something you obviously have no information about.
Research this article to read it in its entirety along with several others about the Zarate families dedication to their non-profit.
A non-profit aimed at educating families in our lower RGV when no one else did or would step up...and all the while lobbying for a Federal Bill recently implemented to help parents take care of their Autistic children after the parents have passed on. Kudos to the Zarate family.

DeleteIf you have such proof of that activity perform your civic duty and contact the IRS. It is not that they are SO special at all. It is that some here make accusations or derogatory statements they cannot back up with proof. Btw...Certain Non-profits do not have to answer to YOU or me. They only answer to the IRS. File a complaint with the IRS if you truly believe they are scamming the community.
So much of what is being said here by many is typical bullshit played out in this town every time there is an election. The peanut gallery pisses and moans, but never puts themselves out there in front, instead choosing to stay in the dark all the while doing nothing constructive to make our town better.
