Is Anti-Gaming District Attorney Luis V. Saenz Addicted to Gaming?

District Attorney Luis V. Saenz
Avid Gamer?
Two of Brownsville's four bloggers have been covering the story of how 500 eight-liner machines confiscated in Cameron County wound up in the hands of Carlos Masso and Rick Zayas for pennies on the dollar.

By any measure, that is simply bad law enforcement, not the kind of work for which the District Attorney and his office get handsomely paid.

The work of vanquishing eight-liners in Cameron County was named "Operation Bishop" by Saenz in honor of Bishop Daniel Flores, who reportedly complained that monies spent on eight-liners were reducing contributions to the Catholic Church.

Juan Montoya's El Rrun Rrun blog reported in March of 2014:

"Saenz said that Operation Bishop was named
Bishop Daniel Flores
after new Brownsville Catholic Diocese Bishop Daniel E. Flores since the clergyman complained about the establishments because he felt that they were diminishing the amount of money made in local parish bingo halls and church collection plates."

At the time, the Mean Mister Brownsville blog commented:

"So, the bitter reality is that Saenz motivation was not based primarily on legality, morality or even the monies lost by the poor and elderly who frequent 8-liner establishments. He was responding to a request made by an official of the hugely affluent, but still money hungry Catholic Church."

With the backdrop of the above story, does it seem ironic that District Attorney Luis V. Saenz himself has, in the last 72 hours, invited/challenged me 3 times to join him in the online game, Dragon City?

While the first invitation is beyond my notification list, here are Saenz' last two invites:

Received 1/11/15:  Luis V. Saenz invited you to play Dragon City. 9:08am

Received 1/9/15:  Luis V. Saenz invited you to play Dragon City. 6:19pm

A Facebook page describes the thrills of playing Dragon City:

Become the Dragon Master

Hatch and collect your dragons

Grow them into mighty creatures with awesome powers

Breed them to create rare hybrids
Visit your friends’ islands and exchange gifts

I've yet to play my first online game, typically deleting any invitation to play as soon as it's received.  But, with all the work of the District Attorney's office, Luis V. Saenz, obviously finds ample time to play the challenging Dragon City.

  6. Luis Saenz is merely doing favors for his Dumbokratic friends, Zayas and Masso, as they prepare for the change in the law regarding 8-liners.....a change to make it legal for 8-liners to operate in Cameron County and other counties. Zayas and Masso see the earnings capability with 8-liners and so their "bud" Luis raids establishments and then sells the machines to his friends....Zayas and Masso. Luis Saenz is just another corrupt Democrat. And we know that the voters of Cameron County don't just accept corruption, the voters demand corruption, as seen by who gets elected here.
