Debbie Portillo

  6. I live in Zamora's district. My street has not been paved in the 18 yrs I've lived here. NOTHING has been done for people living in this area. When concerned residents call to the proper phone numbers and offices, we are always given the run around. NO MORE losers, or "plants". Serve the community, stop serving yourselves from the community.

    1. That would be understandable, if true. The only work done by United Brownsville is the annual dunning for the $25,000 stipends from BISD, COB, BEDC, Port of Brownsville, TSC, P.U.B. and BISD.

  15. ByBV-BISD CALLS SPECIAL BOARD MEETING TO TERMINATE THOMPSON HORTON'S LEGAL CONTRACT AND TO HIRE INTERIM COUNSEL
The agenda item is by Otis Powers - let's see which law firm will be getting their payoff. Remember Escobedo has been unhappy with Thompson Horton's refusal to go along on all of his deals. Let's see if the vote is, Powers, Escobedo, Peña, and Chirinos.-

  16. The only reason Roger Ortiz is being brought back as a consultant is cuz only he knows where all those dirty little secrets of the past voter frauds that the Hernandezes committed are located. Roger this is your chance to come out clean and save your skin, cuz if you listen to Ernie and Erin, you will be set up dude and you will be the only one incriminated. Roger turn the Hernandezes in,the truth will set you free.

  18. Why havent you said anything about the demonstration against the comission outside the downtown post office last Saturday? It was funny seeing father Mathew and the whole entorage of women "protesting" against city bught elections.

  19. Does she have any experiences or educational background that would make her a viable candidate??????? Melissa Zamora didn't run for office to pave streets...she ran to improve her own life...get more opportunities. She has never held a job long and is not likely to stay at the courthouse long. In general, anyone Tony Martinez supports is going to get a lot of "NO" votes because of Tony's piss poor performance as Mayor. Tony Martinez has proven to be an autocrat who manages by intimidation and threats. Tony doesn't seek commission votes on issues (like spending), he commits the city and then expects funding decisions to be after the fact.....to save face (his, of course). If we were to compare Ahumada's tenure with the tenure of Martinez, we find a lot of the same bullshit....the same mismanagement.....the same haughty egotistical personalities. Martinez is very much like Ahumada...as 'Da Boss. Neither can be trusted.
