Did Cata Presas-Garcia Duck Mary S. Rey in BISD Position 3? Last Second Ballot Shenanigans at BISD

Mary S. Rey
Mary S. Rey is incapable of speaking without passion.  If a thought is worth expressing, it deserves a measure of force, enunciation and power behind each word.  Rey recocks her verbal rifle before each sentence, then carefully aims and fires.

Mealy-mouthed, convicted con artist Carlos Quintanilla learned the hard way that Ms. Rey also chronicles every conversation, text or email, reproducing the original when you try to lie or con your way out when confronted with the truth.  Rey's deposition last year exposed the fake hispanic messiah from Big D as nothing more than a scammer who lies only when he speaks.

Mary S. Rey would not be the preferred opponent of a Quintanilla puppet like Cata Presas-Garcia,  but that was not even a consideration when Rey registered at 4:45 pm as a candidate opposite Presas-Garcia in BISD district 3.  At 5:00 pm, according to an insider report, things changed dramatically with Cata-Presas Garcia pulling out of the district 3 race and putting her name in district 6.  At the same instant, the tipster continued, Argellia Miller was placed in the district 3 race, creating a threesome of Otis Powers, Argellia Miller and Mary S. Rey.  The new alignment favors the re-election of Presas-Garcia, but puts Rey in the difficult position dividing votes with her friend Miller while they both face Otis Powers.

Speaking with Miller by phone, I told her I found it odd that she would be going up against her friend Mary S. Rey in the school board election.  "I find it odd, too."  she stated.  "I had no idea Mary was running and I don't know if she knew I was running."  "What made you choose District 3?" I asked.  "3 is my lucky number," Argellia responded.  "First, the number 4, then 7, 8 and then 3 are lucky for me.  So, I chose 3.  I did not know who would be running against me.  Maybe 7 or 8 candidates would be in that race.  I did not care.  I let the chips fall where they may."

In any event, one candidate runs in district 3 because it is her lucky number, while another candidate pulls out of district 3, finding it unlucky.  The jostling for position, the campaigning, the promises are just beginning.  Just out of sight may be a slimy con artist from Dallas, lurking around a $500,000,000 annual budget controlled by amateurs that he always finds to be easy plucking.

  1. Jim,

No one is afraid of running against Mary S. Rey. She's going to bring up the rear.

  3. When you at last understand the culture of the Border Mexican, then, and only then, will you be better able to write about its politics. Until then, your blog fails.

    1. Johnny,

Your comment reflects a certain stereotypical ignorance better suited for the Brownsville Cheezmeh site. This blog primarily welcomes adult comments.

    3. Brownsville Cheezmeh is getting ready to endorse the worst BISD Candidates for Board of Trustees. Anyone the Endorse will lose. Brownsville Cheezmeh really only wants to control the candidates and have them in forever in debt to them. They will ask for money for thier causes, bbq, fund raisers and whatever else they need for their personal gain. It is sad that candidates such as Jessica Tetrau, John Villareal, Erin Hernandez are now at their mercy and will ALWAYS have them take credit for helping them get elected.

What the candidates don't understand is when they ask for help from Erasmo Castro and Linda Castro they are actually getting a loaded gun. They will destroy the reputation of the candidate to win at all costs even if it means cheating at the polls as we saw with Erin Hernandez. Brownsville Cheezmeh aka Bringing Brownsville Change distributed negative false fliers around Brownsville and in turn made the candidates being hated for dirty politics. A reputation of cheaters that the candidates will be forever known. Erasmo lives in Austin,TX and his sister in Los Fresnos,TX why do they care about Brownsville or destroying peoples lives if they don't have to look at anybody to their face or walk among us. They are in it for control and the money that comes with it.

Candidates be aware with who you associate with yoursleved because Brownsville Cheezmeh is a bad Omen. Peace

    4. Johnny,
Maturation is a slow, wearysome process. Your comments are welcome here. What was your original comment again? I forgot it.

  6. Johnny is yet another to promote the idea that "Corruption is a part of the Mexican Culture and we should accept it"......the idea presented by Dr. Tony Zavaleta years ago. Johnny is the reason our political and judicial systems are so corrupt....because the citizens don't just demand corruption, they demand it.

    1. At any other time, I would vote for Mary Rey! But not this time! I know Powers isn't the best, but we know that he can reason and make an educated decision. In other words, we know who he is and what he is capable of. Mary Rey, Argelia Miller, Cata, and Quintanilla were a team at one time. Did she turn a new leaf or is this ACT III on Cata's road show to total continued domination? Witches of Eastwick Unite! Just kidding, Teachers need to come out and clean BISD of this vermin! Powers, Barbosa, Chirinos, and Peña! This is the ticket and there is no getting around that some "Vengence" will be theirs! A little vengence is not a bad thing!

    2. Mary Rey was sucked in by Quintanilla once, but only because he played on her motherly instincts to protect her son, seeking help with a civil trial. That ship has sailed. Mary has hardened up and is not so susceptible to con artistry.

  8. I wish Mrs Rey the best in this upcoming battle. Rest assured Cata's clan will pull out all their dirty tricks and Mary will have to be very very strong. May God be with her and all the good and honest candidates as they fight the evil and hated CPG.

  9. Is it true? Escobedo is supporting Powers and his confidant Pat Lehmann is also backing Otis Powers with strong financial support from Joey Zaza the new Insurance Czar of BISD.

  10. If Escobedo backs Powers, I will vote for Mary Rey. However, Peña is about the kids, she has to stay!

  11. Some of you guys and gals, are full of shit! Otis can't stand Escobedo, Lehman, Cata, and company. His first priority is to reopen the Healthsmart issue, maybe we can get back some these millions the fab four have been giving away. Then they can sue each one of them individually! Teachers! You all better get off of your educated asses and vote these evil people out. Powers, Chirinos, Barbosa, and Peña are the people we need in there. If you all don't turn out in droves, then you deserve what you're going to get and the fab four are just getting started!
