DeleteThe personal sins of Luis Saenz are nothing compared to the 23 million taxpayers dollars that were literally bilked by Masso when he was with the Port Commission. It is beyond comprehension why this has not been revisited, investigated fully and prosecuted. Where is the Federal Government on all this? I don't care about Saenz skirtchasing affairs from 17 years ago but I do care what happened to all that money and how only $1,125,000 was recouped out of the 23 million. This is a travesty of humongous proportions for a depressed economic area like ours. Sorry Masso but this area can't afford any more like you. My vote is for Luis Saenz.

As for Saenz, the numbers were clear, his opponent Masso was the one who had the suspicious 191 mail in votes last round.
Cheating is for the stupid and the desperate. The culprit is most likely Erin of course, and her friends Gomez and Masso who got some of the highest mail in ballot numbers in May.
To June 15 2012 8:45 pm explanation from Carlos Masso in reference to the 23 million bridge to nowhere. It was his version. Just like a thug after he rapes someone he tells the people "Well she should have never been alone in the first place". If she wasn't alone I wouldn't have raped her. Carlos Masso was alone many times with Dannenbaum and between Masso, Villalobos and Dannenbaum they decided to rape the Citizens of Cameron County 23 million times.

I don't know for who I am voting for DA. I do know that Saenz was not a good DA. He did not take care of day to day business or supervise his staff as he should have. Many civil cases lingered for, in some cases, years before going to trial. In these cases the delay was at the request of the DA's office. I think mostly because assistant DA's didn't take the time to prepare the case and weren't ready. It was easier just to request a postponmnt. People's lives were disrupted and they suffered because of the delays. Oddly enough, considering their attitude, when the cases fianlly got to court, the assistant DAs did a good job.
ReplyDeleteCommitting the sin of objectivity, I'll point out that Masso was not on the Navigation District Board when all the money was spent. He had nothing to do with it. However, I will agree with anyone who feels like he did not do enough to recover the money. In my limited dealings with Masso when he was an ADA I found him to be reasonable to work with and he did what he said he would do. As previously mentioned, this is not the experience I had with Saenz's DA office.
Mattingly is, in my opinion, painted by the culture of corruption that was (is) the judicial system in Cameron County. As Villalobos' chief prosecutor and co-prosecutor on the case that got Villalobos indicted, I'd like to know what he knew and when he knew it. Allegedly, he and Villalobos requested, in chambers, that the defendant not be released after his conviction. Limas and the defense attorney say they did not oppose the convict's release. Is Limas telling the truth? Who knows? But what does the defense attorney stand to gain by saying they did not make the request if the actually did? Who stands to gain by not telling the truth regarding this deal? Right now it is just Mattingly. And was he aware of the judicial corruption in the county? Did he do anything about it? The same question can be asked of Masso, too. All these guys have enough real crap to fade; there is no need to make up stuff or to attribute stuff to them that they are not responsible for.
Poor Cameron County -- So many questionable politicians and such indiscriminating voters.

Carlos was not even a port commissioner when the money was lost. As far as supporters, I think that everyone has supports, but Zeke as everyone knows is trouble. Lies will not win a campaign and Zeke really thinks that by lying he is going to influence votes, (wow). The facts are facts and you can ask Carlos Masso and he will take the time and show you the facts that he showed me when I asked for the truth. His office is open to the public as he opened his office door to me. Luis had his chance and didn't do a great job as District Attorney, if he had, don't you think he would have won his bid for re-election???
