Adela Garza Running for Congress in New District 34

Texas received four new congressional districts due to population growth reflected in the 2010 U.S. Census. The new 34th district in south Texas includes Cameron, Hidalgo, Willacy, Kenedy, Kleberg, Jim Wells, San Patricio, Bee, Goliad, Dewitt and Gonzales counties.

The field of candidates includes 3 Republicans: Adela Garza, Jessica Puente Bradshaw and Paul Haring. The 11 Democratic candidates are: Salomon Torres, Elmo Aycock, Armando Villalobos, Filemon Vela, Juan Angel Guerra, Ramiro Garza, Jr., Anthony Troiani and Denise Saenz Blanchard.

Here are Adela Garza's thoughts on the new district:

"We are blessed to be part of a culturally and economically diverse district. We have the best beaches in Texas at South Padre Island and great ecotourism including birding, which brings people to Cameron County from across the world. There are a multitude of resources, natural and otherwise, which bring abundant opportunity for further economic development within District 34. Future growth will stem from the deep water port located in the Port of Brownsville, wind turbines in Willacy County, oil and natural gas from Eagle Ford Shale corridor in Bee, Dewitt, Goliad and Gonzales counties. International trade continues to be a source of strength given the district's proximity to Mexico, and our farmers across the district aid in sustaining a vital part of our economy. With an aging population, the future medical school in Harlingen will support the district's healthcare needs and bring jobs to the region."

Garza, cites her experience on the UTB/TSC Board of Trustees, the Los Fresnos ISD Board, the Irrigation District, as well as numerous civic boards including the Texas Council of Community, Mental Health and Mental Retardation Centers and Healthy Communities of Brownsville. She and her husband Faustino own Tino's Prescription Shop in Brownsville. She also served as a field representative for Congressman Blake Farenthold. Her and her husband have four children. Garza is Catholic.

Garza's education includes Nixon High School and a Bachelor of Arts from Pan American University.

So in other words, she's not from Brownsville. The way she speaks it is a wonder she got an edu-ma-cation. Jim you could totally take her in a congressional debate with one lip tied behind your back.

This woman has been lying for years that she is a Republican however, since 1996 (oldest record obtainable) she has voted in almost every primary in the democrat camp...a pathological liar!!!!!!

    1. I was at the Republican forum you reference. My wife videotaped it. Political parties hold little interest for me. Adela voting in Democratic primaries doesn't make her a liar, but you making a huge issue of it with that much emphasis makes you rabidly partisan which limits your thinking greatly.

  5. F Arsela messed with the republican party and there is so much tapes about her that are going to be released soon. F Arsela is going to be shown for what she is a two faced dem who has no knowledge or comprehension yet a person who feels better by cutting down other people who are more advanced than her. Adela Garza for rs will be exposed for who she is. Unethical lying
