Below is a video from the December 6, 2011 BISD School Board Meeting. Catalina Presas-Garcia states her decision to step down as board president, giving her reasons for doing so. She mentions a pending lawsuit with the words "sometimes adults don't know how to leave their indifferences aside". She says she has no regrets. "I may come across strong, but I have heart", she states.
She also claims to have been excluded by her "colleagues" from certain insurance coverage. Presas-Garcia reads excerpts from a letter sent to the district legal team, then forwarded to her, where a former administrator asks for legal protection from anything relative to his tenure at BISD. Presas-Garcia claims to have been instrumental in rejecting that request.
She cites an anticipated increased workload in the coming year in real estate, necessitating frequent travel. She will still serve on the board, just relinquish the board presidency.

ReplyDeleteRemember everyone you can only believe 1/4 of what Cata Presas-Garcia saids. She is known to lie to your face and when you confront her she makes up another lie. Those of us that know her well have caught her lying. You know what she does when you catch her lying and you confront her with what you found out about her lies; she makes you her number one enemy. The only reason I state this is because we are dealing with a woman who believes she can lie all she wants and then simply makes herself a helpless victim so she can get away with the lies. That is why she tried to "CRY" on T.V. to make people feel sorry for her; but apparently she ran out of tearful thoughts and her crying disappeared all of a sudden. All show my friends, all show.
ReplyDeleteAnyone can compare her statements to the previous board meeting to this one and see she is lying. She had no intent on leaving. Her anger at the previous meeting shows it. The fact is Escobedo told her that he was going to vote for her removal at the previous board meeting if she did not agree to resign the following board meeting. This is the deal Colunga cut with Escobedo, which is why there was no real opposition to Escobedo becoming the new Board President.
ReplyDeleteAlso did you know that before Healthsmart's auditor Dannebbaugh was fired for BISD Cata hired him with BISD money to be her investigator in the Joe Rod case.
Left her out of certain insurance coverage by her collages,she may very well have a Discrimination case in her hands,can we see another law suit coming to BISD?

I don't think any administrator in BISD feels sorry for you Cata. Your fake tears can't undo all the damage you've done and livelihoods you've ruined. The only people I feel sorry for are your children and the months of grief you're going to put them through, for decisions you have made.

ReplyDeleteThink about this one CATA! When you had the attorney speak (you thought in your behalf) with respect to the board members move towards denial of coverage for your defense. His real intent was to bring out that your actions that got you into the Joe Rodriguez mess, are the exception and not the norm. In laymen terms,(someone lacking skills) his data was really meant to show; that you fall in an elite group! Unfortunately, this elite group were those that lacked the brains to be a school board member. You should not have gotten any legal coverage from BISD. You did this to yourself! That was what Mr. Michel was really saying, but like always, you spin it your way. Oh! One more thing, you made history Tuesday. You are the first (Assitant) Secretary on the BISD school board. Can't just be a board member, can you?

Are you kidding Cata Presas-Garcia is still in charge. Just drive by BISD main office and you will see her car there at least 3 times a week. She walks in and out of every administrator's office and strongly suggest what they need to do, or else! Dr. Montoya just allows it as long as he gets the title of superintendent and gets his salary paid to him. Que Triste!!!!!!!!!!!!

ReplyDeleteThat's much more than two plus CQ. The four majority board members via Catalina Presasa-Garcia, cut the deals since way before election with someone in Dallas, and they have delivered. Just look at the deals made with Sylvia Atkinson, Carl Montoya, Art Rendon, the dissmisal of the lawsuit against Healthsmart (giving away $14,300,000.00), Hector Gonzales, and Tony Juarez, however, once CQ and Presas-Garcia got out of control, so the strings had to be pulled from somewhere in Dallas....Why do you think CQ is been quieted, and Presas removed?? Why do you think none of them have come forward to deny any statements made which links them to all of this great big mess???
